• the homecoming games are rigged!!

  Okay, so every year, my school has 2 assemblys before the homecoming football game. 1 to play the homecoming games, (which is always on class color day) and 1 for the pep assembly.

  Well, this year I'm a junior, so I thought we had a good chance to win a lot of the games. NOPE!

  All of the "judges/referees" were rigging it so then the seniors won every single game.

  During didgeball, whenever the other team would get hit with the ball, they'd make them go out like they're supposed to. But if the seniors got hit with the ball, they wouldn't say anything. When we were playing musical chairs, we (the Juniors) would clearly be sitting in the chair, with the senior falling off of it, not sitting in it at all and they would always say that the senior was sitting in it. And a senior was in charge of the musc. Yeah, he's not gonna just stop the music when it's best for the seniors.. (that was sarcastic). Ugh, SO frustrating.

  And then when we were doing the pie eating contest, the Juniors just finished, and we were all screaming REALLY loud. And then about 5 seconds later, the seniors finish and they win?? WTF!?!

  We also play this scooter game, where you sit on a scooter, and pull yourself across the gym with rope. And one of the seniors fell off of the scooter and got hurt, so then another senior just jumped on the scooter, and went. So technically they had 1 less person to have go across on the scooter. Because I never saw them add another person to their team.

  Oh, and then there is this other game, where you have to pop balloons, stack up cardboard boxes, and then pick up a bunch of garbage dumped on the ground, put it in a garbage can, and then transport it to a different garbage can, and then find the cone with the tape on the bottom, and then stack up coffee cans. Well when the seniors went and stacked up their coffee cans, they fell down and they didn't have to re-stack them like anyone else if they fell down. And when they were picking up all of the garbage to put it in the garbage, they forgot a water bottle. But then the judge guy just kicked it to them! Everyone else had to run over and pick it up.

  I was soo mad the whole time, that I was just chanting "Fuk You, seniors! clap clap clap, clap, clap" and also just yelling as loud as I could, and swearing as loud as I could at everything. (Don't worry, it was soo loud. No one could hear me screaming.) Oh, I forgot. All of the Juniors as a group were also chanting "This is Rigged! clap clap clap, clap, clap*" Lol, but it always died really soon.

  Ugh, I need to start a petition to get these games re-played or something. Because that just isn't fair at all.

• it's my birthday!!

  Happy Birthday to Me, Happy Birthday to Me, Happy Birthday Nicole, Happy Birthday to Me!

  Okay, so today was an amazing day over all.

  So I woke up, went to school and I was doing terrible in jazz band. My director kept yelling at me to play louder (even though I was playing as loud as I possibly could) and I couldn't play the music.

  But then jazz band was over, and I went to go hang out with my friends before school started. Well my one friend got me a balloon that said "Have A Rainbow Birthday" and it had Care Bears on it, lol. I LOVE Care Bears.

  So that was fun, and on the way to class, I saw a LOT of really amazing costumes for 80s day. Including mine.. I was awesome.

  In geometry I found out I got a 40/40 on one quiz, and a 7/7 on the other one, and the rest of my classes were okay. But I was tired the whole day. But then the end of the day came.

  Off to the DMV!

  So I got to the DMV and I waited in line (it only took about 5 minutes) and then the next thing I knew, I was waiting in the car for the person to grade me on my driving to see if I could get my lisence. I started out good, I backed out, and went around the parking lot. Then I took a left, another left, a right, another right, another right and then he had me pull over and explain what I would do if I was parking uphill. I did really good so far. But then we came to this one intersection that was very weird. I was supposed to take a left, so I turned on my signal and stopped behind the line at the stop sign. It looked clear, so I started going, and right as I started going, another car turned into the lane I was turning in (and they didn't have a stop sign) so my guy (his name was Ron) yelled at me to stop. That was bad. I seriously didn't see the car at all!

  So I finally turned, and then I had to turn left again into a residential area. I was driving along, and then I came to a stop sign. I thought that the crosswalk was the stop line, so I was cruising right up to the crosswalk, and I realize that it's not the stop line, but the crosswalk. So Ron yelled at me about that, and I went forward again.

  So far, I thought I failed.

  So we're driving, and Ron tells me to take a left and pull over and then back around the corner. Damn it! Lol, I'm terrible at backing around corners! Well, somehow I did it without hitting the curb/sidewalk, and I was on my way back to the DMV.

  Okay, so I'm back to that really weird intersection where I almost hit that one car, and the road like, curved towards the way I needed to go. So I didn't think I needed to put on my signal. But I could have gone in the other direction, so Ron yelled at me about that, too.

  I got back to the DMV and parked the car. I seriously thought I failed, but then he said "Congratulations, you passed. Now you can go inside, sit in the brown chairs, and wait for your name to get called for your picture."

  So I went inside, fixed my hair, and got my picture in my Criss shirt, lol. You can't tell that it's a Criss shirt, but I'll always know.

  After I got my lisence, I met my dad (I was with my mom, and both of my brothers were working) at the Mongolian BBQ. That's the best place, ever!

  Well, that was my amazing birthday. Now I'm just waiting for Criss to come on tv.

• i can't wait for tomarrow

  Oh my God. I can't wait for tomarrow! It's going to be soo exciting!

  Okay, so I turn 16 tomarrow. So guess what that means. DRIVER'S LISENCE!!!

  I hope I pass the test! If I do, I'll have freedom. And then I can finally start using my parking permit, and drive to school.

• Wheaton Contest (9-22-07)

  Ok, so yesterday, my band went to a contest. And right when we got off of the field and back to our buses, our director talked to us and said "I'm disapointed in you. That was your worst peformance ever. Even if you guys come out with 1st place, you should all know that that was the worst performance ever." So we were all sad, and disapointed, and confused all at the same time because everyone I talked to said that they thought we did really good. So we watched other bands, and then awards came. We didn't expect to get any specialty awards. And we didn't. So when they announced third place and we didn't get it I automatically just said out loud "Oh my God! We did worse than Downers Grove (another band/town)? They weren't that great. Naperville (another band/town) will get second, and then Lake Park (an AMAZING band) will get first." But then the annoucer said "And second place goes to.. the Lemont High School Marching Band!" and I was soo shocked!! It was insane! I didn't expect to get ANYTHING!

  So we got on the buses, and we were screaming, (lol) and then one of the drum majors came on the bus and told us that we got a 75.5 for our score, and we got second place over all. Just last week we only got a 63 at the other contest. So that was really good. But 1st place (lake park) got an 85. That's kind of a HUGE diference in scores. Normally they're really close.

  Who knows.. maybe the judges rigged the score. My director did know about 4 of the judges, and then my other director knew one of them. And then of course the whole band knew one of them (Dr. Boo from NIU). He helped out our band a few times, and was in charge of one of our rehearsals over the summer to help us get better.

  But we did do pretty good. So I'm still happy.
